About this Month's Lineup:
Hormoz Rashidi was born in Iran & grew up in California. He wasted his time obtaining a B.A. in Poli Sci at UC Berkeley and after spending a couple years in Washington DC he quit his job and moved to New York to be a stand up comic. They say if you can make it in New York you can make it anywhere. Well after a couple of years Hormoz moved to Los Angeles where he now performs stand-up in front of dozens of people, writes funny stuff and makes his family very proud. Hormoz is now a paid regular at the world famous comedy store, has been selected for Netflix's "Netflix is a Joke Festival" and has recorded his first special released as part of LMAOF.
Kim McVicar is a comedian and former professional dancer (emphasis on former) originally from Canada. Her newest standup special “Kim McVicar: Please Notice Me” can be seen on Amazon Prime, iTunes, YouTube, and many more streaming services. It has been streamed over 3 million times. Fans also can hear McVicar regularly on SirusXM, Spotify and more. Kim is a regular at the Hollywood Improv in Los Angeles, in the Top 25 on Roast Battle at The Comedy Store, and got the most views in the US for the Laugh Factory’s 2016 online standup competition. Kim has also performed around the US, Canada, and Ireland – where she won the comedy competition “Battle of the Axe.”
Kim was a professional dancer by the age of 5 – when she performed on Tiny Talent Time (Canada’s Star Search). She went on to dance for the Toronto Raptors, Culture Shock, and for stars such as Savion Glover and Kid Sister.
Nat Baimel is a comedian, upbeat problem solver, awkward philosopher, and optimistic nihilist with a knack for always looking on the bright side. His dark, smart, well-crafted material often tackles the most serious of subjects in a silly manner that will make you laugh as much as it will make you think.
You've likely seen one of Nat's jokes online, as they've garnered tens of millions of views and been shared hundreds of thousands of times across MTV.com, BuzzFeed, the Chive, Cheezburger, College Humor, 'Laughs' on Fox, Rolling Stone, and the front page of Reddit dozens of times. His albums 'Be Nice!' and 'Nihilist Pep Talk' debuted atop the Amazon and iTunes Comedy Charts, and play regularly on XM Radio. Nat has also been heard on Gabriel Iglesias' Stand-Up Revolution on XM Radio, and performed on 'Inside Joke with Asif Ali' on Amazon Prime. You're still reading? Good for you! As a writer, Natty Ice (his business name) was a semi-finalist in the highly respected NBC Writers On The Verge as well as the Nickelodeon Writer's Program, where he placed in the top ten out of thousands of applicants. He also contributes jokes weekly to the popular YouTube series 'America Uncovered' and 'China Uncensored.'
Nat has performed at the prestigious Laughing Skull, Laughing Devil, and Laugh Your Asheville Off Comedy Festivals, San Francisco International Comedy Competition, and headlined internationally at the 7th annual Hong Kong Comedy Festival. He lives in Los Angeles and tours the nation constantly. Life is good. He can't complain, but he's Jewish, so he probably will.
