ALEX FARIVAR is a Los Angeles–based stand-up comedian, writer, actor, and author known for his sharp, personal comedy and his debut hour-long special Tell Me I’m Wrong (2024). Born in West L.A. to Iranian parents and raised partly in Irvine, Farivar studied filmmaking at the New York Film Academy and later earned an associate degree from the Los Angeles Film School before turning to comedy in 2015. He has since performed at top venues including The Laugh Factory, The Comedy Store, The Ice House, HaHa Comedy Club, and the Brea Improv, building a reputation for his candid storytelling and fearless honesty on stage. Beyond stand-up, Farivar is also a published author, having released the poetry and prose collection Rotting: Poetry, Prose & Notes from 2011–2017 in 2018 and the novel Tick in 2022. He has appeared in independent films, shorts, and comedy sketches as both an actor and voice actor, rounding out his creative pursuits. With roots in both filmmaking and literature, Farivar’s comedy blends wit, vulnerability, and sharp cultural perspective, making him a distinctive voice in the Los Angeles comedy scene.
ROSALEE MAYEUX is a stand-up comedian, actress, former Ford model, and award-winning writer, whose wide-ranging career spans modeling, film, television, comedy, and writing. She began her career as a high-fashion Ford model working in New York and Paris, then transitioned into acting, accumulating over 300 credits in movies, commercials, and TV shows on networks including ABC, NBC, CBS, and Nickelodeon. Some of her notable acting roles include playing Carla Parkett—the love interest in The Lawnmower Man—the desk clerk in Blast From the Past, and the eccentric mom in the Nickelodeon series They Came from Outer Space. As a writer, she won the Columbine Writers Award in 2005 at the Moondance International Film Festival for her short film Coyote Nights. In comedy she mines her life experience, including parenting, her battle with cancer, and romantic misadventures, in her stand-up sets which she performs regularly around Los Angeles and on tour. She is currently preparing her debut comedy special Gangsta Mom and appears in the indie film Love at First Spite.
ARTIE LOPEZ is a Ventura County–based stand-up comedian and show producer known for his deep roots in the local comedy scene. Born and raised in Oxnard, California, he runs open mic nights throughout the county and produces his own weekly showcase in Ventura. He is the host of Smoke N Mirrors Comedy Night, a long-running Wednesday show at Gigi’s Cocktail Lounge, and has also performed at major local venues including Oxnard’s Levity Live and the Ventura Harbor Comedy Club. Lopez has been featured on podcasts such as The Mido Show, where he discussed balancing his work as both a performer and producer, and he has hosted and shared the stage with touring comedians like Ian Edwards, Josh Adam Meyers, and Dean Delray. With a style that blends personal storytelling, sharp observations, and a strong connection to his community, Lopez has become a central figure in Ventura County comedy, cultivating spaces for both established and emerging comics to perform.
