What to Expect:

About this Month's Lineup:

Comedian Jeff Wayne was dubbed “Big Daddy” by Billy Crystal and Robin Williams on an HBO Comic Relief show. The moniker has stuck to a guy who’s been part of the stand-up comedy scene for a long time. He’s toured all over the world, several times in Europe. The Norwegian Newspaper “Sondags B.A.”, described him as having “amazing audience communication, and ferociously funny!

He’s appeared on many national TV shows, including Pawn Stars, and recently with Tiffany Haddish on Byron Allen’s Comics Unleashed. A frequent guest on radio shows, Jeff is known for his quick wit and storytelling abilities. His yarns are offbeat little-known tales about old and new celebrities. Wayne has performed in various venues ranging from comedy clubs, concerts, and cruise ships. In theaters, his one-man show, Big Daddy’s Barbeque, has been played over 1,000 times, and has generated sensational reviews from distinguished publications like The Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, Variety, Cleveland Plain Dealer, and NPR which described Wayne, as having “the face of Fred Flintstone with the attitude of Al Bundy.”

His seven comedy CDs are constantly played in rotation on Sirius/XM radio, making him one of the most listened to comedians in the country. The journey from Kentucky to The Comedy Store in Los Angeles started when Wayne realized that they didn’t teach in school what he wanted to learn. At the Comedy Store, he learned his craft and worked with the likes of Louie Anderson, Jim Carrey, Roseanne, and Judd Apatow, while watching the masters like Richard Pryor, George Carlin and Rodney Dangerfield.

Divorced from his wife he has remained true to his first love: Stand-Up Comedy. The father of three, he lives in Los Angeles, collects showbiz memorabilia, and is still striving to be a star.

When Dr. Laura Hayden is not killing patients–with laughter, she is killing it on stage as a stand-up comedian. Laura’s stand-up career started at the front of the classroom while she earned her Masters in Physical Therapy. Her ability to highlight the humorous side of medicine led her classmates to nominate her to give their graduation commencement speech. To this day the faculty at Mount Saint Mary’s College still talk about that “infamous” commencement speech which Laura credits as her first stand up performance.

Laura has headlined at comedy clubs across the country including the Comedy Store, the Improv, Stand Up New York, Comedy Works and more. She also performed on Royal Caribbean Cruises and for U.S. troops overseas in Djibouti, Oman, the UAE and more. She's been selected for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland five times as well as numerous festivals across the U.S.

Clay Newman is a nationally touring comedian born and raised in Ventura, and has been seen recently working as a feature at Laughs Unlimited in Sacramento, the Tacoma and Spokane Comedy Clubs, Rooster T Feathers, Standup Honolulu, Mic Drop San Diego, Paris’s Goku Comedy Club, London’s Backyard Comedy Club, and Seattle Comedy Underground (RIP). You’ll also find him hosting at the Hollywood Improv, Punch Line and Cobbs in San Francisco, San Jose Improv, Punch Line Sacramento, Notoriety in Las Vegas, the Ventura Harbor Comedy Club, as well as showcases at Flappers in Burbank, The Well in Bakersfield, and Mad House in San Diego. He’s recently opened for Jenny Slate, Eric Andre, TJ Miller, Darrell Hammond, Kelsey Cook, Greg Fitzsimmons, Shane Torres, Andrew Santino, Eddie Ifft, Ismo, Aida Rodriguez, Sam Tripoli, Andy Woodhull, and Sheng Wang.

Doors will open at 7:00 PM. The show will start at 8. Drinks will be available at the Bombay Bar and Grill. Show is 16+.

Bombay Bar and Grill serves great food! If you would like to have dinner at the venue, please arrive by 6pm so you have enough time to dine in the dining room and move into the showroom when doors open!
